Legacy was founded in 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona by Jay Parker. Jay’s career has been dedicated to the HVAC industries. He first started working in his family’s air conditioning business when he was a teen. When his mom sold the family business, Jay founded Legacy Air as a commercial HVAC-R business. His goal was to unite his HVAC and construction experience with excellent customer service. Parker is firmly committed to the concept that professionalism can be delivered in a friendly cordial manner and that nothing is more pleasant and satisfying than a job well done.
The result of Parker’s work ethic and integrity is reflected in our incredible growth from one office in Phoenix, Arizona to ten offices across ten states and in our vast customer base.
Legacy became a member of the CoolSys family of companies in mid-2017. CoolSys is the parent company of marketing-leading refrigeration, HVAC and energy optimization businesses, across North America, and is dedicated to providing premier solutions and superior quality to its customers with best-in-class service, technology and exceptional value.
MEET OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Jay Parker
President and Founder
President and founder, Jay Parker, started his HVAC career as a teen in 1982 working for his family business, Parker and Sons, as a field technician and salesman in Sun City, Arizona. In 1992 he became the General Manger, a position he held until March of 1996. In 1999, Jay started his own company called Legacy Air, working mostly for family and friends. In a broken down, faded brown van with no air-conditioning, Jay hit the streets of Phoenix early every day, handing out business cards and calling on prospective customers. Hard work and determination prevailed and after some time, he reached out and landed business with several multi-site customers. Through calculated risks, great customers and loyal employees, Jay grew the Legacy business into a market-leading and nationally recognized HVAC and refrigeration service company that now covers 12 western states, including Hawaii and Alaska, and is still growing. Jay and Legacy joined the CoolSys family of companies in 2017.
